Jeremiah Buckingham
President & Licensed Customs Broker
Jeremiah started Ramsay Customs & Logistics in 2019 with over 20 years of experience in the industry. With a modest beginning in the filing room of a large brokerage, hard work and determination led to the running of a full service provider as General Manager. The experience of working in every department provided the knowledge and understanding to expertly guide those in need. Jeremiah prides himself on his integrity, credibility, intelligence, and honesty, to help importers and exporters alike.
Kurt Dobbelaere
Director of Networks and Logistics
Meet Kurt Dobbelaere, the Director of Networks and Logistics at Ramsay Customs and Logistics, where he orchestrates the seamless physical movement of international shipments and bolsters the global network. Kurt ensures that shipments traverse the globe effortlessly, reaching their destination in Canada with precision. When asked about his role, Kurt expressed, “I manage the physical movement of all international shipments and support the global network at Ramsay Customs and Logistics. This includes moving these international shipments from any place in the world to any place in Canada.”
Kurt’s favorite aspect of working at Ramsay Customs and Logistics? “Giving Jeremiah fashion advice 😂 and knowing we’re all part of a team that truly cares.” Beyond the professional responsibilities, he finds joy in the camaraderie and shared commitment within the team.
Outside of the dynamic world of logistics, Kurt unwinds by spending quality time with his dogs and family. An occasional sports enthusiast, he enjoys indulging in sporting events when he’s not steering the intricate logistics at Ramsay Customs and Logistics.
Megan Unrau
Director of Operations & Licensed Customs Broker
Introducing Megan Unrau, our dedicated Customs & Operations Manager at Ramsay Customs and Logistics. Megan oversees the day-to-day operations of our customs teams. Based in Manitoba, Megan supports regional importers with customs brokerage coordination and trade compliance assistance.
Her favorite aspect of the job? “It’s who I work with. We are a team, evident in our group calls, willingness to help, and genuine collaboration. I also enjoy meeting with new or first-time importers. Taking the time to explain the process, what to expect with a customs clearance, answering questions and providing guidance. In an industry that’s constantly evolving, it’s nice to take a moment, slow down and take the time to answer questions from those that want to add international shipments to their business strategies. I want an importer to choose Ramsay because they feel supported and find trust in our teams.”
Megan’s biggest contribution to the company lies in her organizational prowess, ensuring customs processes are streamlined for a smooth experience.
Beyond work, Megan embraces full-time mama mode with her wonderful husband and children.
